EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIAL ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF BERBERIS CRATAEGINA DC.: WITH FOCUS ON QUORUM SENSING INHIBITION OF CHROMOBACTERIUM VIOLACEUM ATCC 12472

Objective: In the present study described here, we set out to look into quorum sensing inhibitory activity of methanolic seed extract Berberis crataegina DC. through -controlled inhibition violacein pigment production in Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC 12472. addition, antibacterial on various Gram-negative and Gram-positive standard strains was evaluated. Also phenolic contents were detected by using HPLC analysis.
 Material Method: “The phytochemical profile performed High-Performance Liquid Chromatography technique. Antibacterial assays agar well method investigated spectrophotometrically.
 Result Discussion: According results Gram negative bacteria more resistant than positive inhibited 66% percentage. Phytochemical analysis also showed that major component is chlorogenic acid, with a value 1974.91 µg/mL.
